Gianni Morbidelli kørte sig til toppen af kvalifikationen, i første forsøg under både Q1 og Q2. Herefter kæmpede resten af feltet med at komme i nærheden. Stefano Comini kom tættest på i både Q1 og Q2, og starter dermed ved siden af Morbidelli. På anden række starter Pepe Oriola og Sergey Afanasyev. Michel Nykjær kom lige præcis med i Q2, men kom ikke over 12 pladsen.
